Strategy
Having developed the branding and bottle design for Brisbane Distillery Company when it launched, the owner asked us to work on a new project for them.
The aim was to create a more environmentally friendly approach, replacing glass imported from China with locally made glass. BDC also wanted to introduce a system where empty gin, rum or vodka bottles can be brought back to the distillery and refilled.
The new bottle aesthetic is clean, simple and classy, now made from the highest‑quality glass available in Australia. From this base, the labels elevate the proposition through premium design — our intricate lockup carrying the brand narrative, distinctive typography, and clear communication of each spirit’s flavour and small‑batch character.
